Senior Managing Partner
Joe Smazal is one of Chicago’s leading multifamily investment sales brokers. Since 2012, he has completed over $275 million in total transaction volume, including over $160 million since 2017.
In 2014, Joe joined Interra from one of the largest national real estate investment services firms. In addition to generating business as a broker, he mentors new agents, leads training workshops, and has direct input on Interra’s marketing, growth planning, and best practices.
Joe and his deals are regularly featured in Crain’s Chicago Business, Bisnow, Illinois Real Estate Journals, and RE Business Online. He also actively speaks on expert panels at multifamily and commercial real estate conferences.
Joe graduated from the University of Iowa, where he studied marketing and entrepreneurship. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois. He lives in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood with his wife and son.
